The SpaceFibre demonstrator kit, developed by ISD under an ESA contract, is an FMC board featuring:

• the SpaceFibre IP core from the University of Dundee along with test logic mapped on a Microsemi AX2000 FPGA
• one copper SpaceFibre connector
• one optical SpaceFibre connector

The design offers several virtual channels able to transfer data through the copper connector, the optical connector and / or the FMC connector.
All components utilized are commercial grade that have a space grade equivalent part.
The board is ideal to get started with SpaceFibre allowing easy interface to any application through the FMC connector.
